Hillsboro, Aug 13 - Benjamin H. Eitnier, 50, Hillsboro town clerk and prominent druggist died of a heart attack about 8:45 o'clock this morning, after having been stricken at his store shortly after he had opened it for business. Friends, finding him ill, took him to his residence and he died a short time later. Mr. Eitnier, a veteran of WWI in which he served as an aerial photographer had been a druggist here for 17 years and previous to that time had farmed. He was known as a capable town clerk and headed many civic affairs. He belonged to the Hillsboro Lodge of Masons. He was born at Hoopeston, Ill, Jan 30, 1893, the son of Benjamin Horace and Mary Zeigler Eitnier. In December, 1913, he was married to Nellie Davidson. Surviving are the wife; two sons, First Class Private Gerald Eitnier of Ft. George Mead, MD, and Pharmacist Mate Second Class Samuel Eitnier of New London, Conn. His father, Horace and two brothers, Aaron and Raymond Eitnier of Hillsboro. Arrangements for the funeral have not bee made, pending word fro the sons in the armed services.
